Now that the piece is stained up, its time to look at other parts of the project. Specifically getting the letters going...
Time to bust out the laser beams again. I'm starting to enjoy this tool.
Ended up cutting out two layers of 1/4" thick acrylic letters then gluing them together. The face which is taped at the moment has a high mirrored gold finish to it. Really wanted to peel off the protective tape but I don't want to scratch up the finish just yet.
Double checking the tolerance in the fit. 'Snug as a Bug', as they would say.
Maybe its the inner craftsman/geek in me but I have to say this is looking SEXY!
