I make you make

In homage to old cell animations I decided to do the illustration in color with a clear black and white overlay.

Some house paint and acrylic washes on Arches 300lb hot press watercolor paper.

Going to attempt to render the hotdog. We'll see how it goes...

 Getting that hotdog skin just right might just be the key.

 Good thing for late night Taquerias. 

Using Golden's black gesso for the line work.  If you haven't tried it, pick up a jar. You can't beat the opacity or matte finish, plus the viscosity is perfect for fine painted brush work.
